YEAR

Returns the year of a date as a four-digit number.

Examples

  • YEAR(‘4/15/25’) - Returns 2025.
  • YEAR(D5) - Returns the year for the date in cell D5.
  • YEAR(date{!1}) - Returns the year for the first date in the date field.
